I would add . . . without the aid of digital collage via computer.

My father was a photographer - I grew up in a darkroom in the days of black and white.

Technology has come a long way since then, and I have evolved and refined my art with each passing year. I now use a digital camera, but I'm still pretty basic. No photo shop (so no digital collages of dropped in sunsets) - and no computer generated images of babies flying in clouds... What you see - is what I framed through my lens as I looked at the scene. Just as I feel that pushing buttons in quick books is NOT bookkeeping, I feel that photo shop is a computer skill, and not photography. I have been published in Sunset Magazine and a University of Hawaii production.

My background is Liberal Arts. I completed Nikon's workshop in composition, and studied art at the University of Hawaii and Portland State University in Oregon.

People tell me I have a good eye, and that I capture the soul of what I see. You be the judge.

My favorite subjects are nature and pets. A photo of my beloved orange tabby cat 'Kahuna' hangs in an exam room at Grove Veterinary Clinic. I am a member of the Yaquina Art Association and a past president (current member) of the Coastal Arts Guild in Newport. My work has been chosen as the cover of the student poetry publication at the University of Hawaii, as well as featured in juried shows across the state of Oregon.

Today, I am very fortunate to live on the beautiful Oregon coast, which provides many opportunities to record the local lighthouses and natural beauty of this popular visitor area. I was recently published in Sunset Magazine.

It is my pleasure to produce for others, what I see through my lens.
